Here is the woodcut corner-piece for the secondary sound-hole in the upright harpsichord I’m making, gilded with 23.5 karat gold…
The woodcut of the piece-de-coin for the upright harpsichord I’m making for my daughter…
Q:CHOPSTICKS. -piano
wrong… CHOPSTICKS - beef & broccoli ^_~
This is the drawing I sketched of the sound hole pieces, the rose, and the piece-de-coin (French; “corner-piece”), which I’ll be making from wood and gilding to be set into the face of the soundboard of the upright harpsichord I’m making for my daughter… I can’t wait to see it all leaved in GOLD!!!! lol *^_^*
The rose has four Fleur de Lis, the three petals of each representing Faith, Wisdom and Chivalry - there are three Fleur de Lis on my coat of arms, so I thought to include them in this - and the piece-de-coin has the Knight’s Cross (or “Maltese Cross”), with each of the eight points representing Knightly Virtues. The symbolism of the daffodils around the Knight’s Cross also represent Chivalry.
This here is the lighted sign for DIP, a sort of employment agency, here in Sakae, Nagoya, Japan - often, Abigail (“craftysensei” here, on Tumblr) and I will come by here and stop for a smoke, and we’ve named this monkey man, “Bryan” (full name, “Good Sir Bryan”), and here we sit right now… we’ll both be quitting smoking this New Year’s, but we’ll always spend time with Good Sir Bryan, as we have for nearly three years now ^_^ <3
Happy Birthday To Meeeeeee…
